Red Dead Redemption coming August 17th for PS4 and Switch

Rockstar Games has announced a re-release of Red Dead Redemption, which will arrive next Thursday for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $49.99. 

Yes, the rumors for a remaster of this classic Western Epic were not exactly true, as many hoped the game would utilize the visuals and gameplay elements of RDR2 and release for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The game will still have some visual improvements over the original release and will be playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, but of course, it isn't the same as a full remake ala Dead Space and Resident Evil 4.

The game will include only the single-player portion of RDR and its excellent Undead Nightmare DLC, so at least it will be fun to play again, however, the online portion will be missing in action.
