The Misadventures of P.B Winterbottom is an Xbox Live Arcade game with some style. The silent-film look of the game is one of the great features of the game, alongside the music and interesting story. It involves P.B Winterbottom, a man on a mission to eat all the pies he can find, although this leads him into some sort of time portal which gives him the ability to clone himself in different ways. Each world is about 5-10 levels, and the rules of beating each level will change how you obtain pies since the rules of using clones will change throughout the game. It's only a few hours long, but Winterbottom is a great game with some head scratching puzzles to solve.

For 800 Microsoft Points ($10), you will get a great game with an interesting story, plus a nice set of challenge levels with it's own achievements to unlock.

Gameplay varies from level to level, but your main goal is to solve the puzzles in the level to obtain more pies for Winterbottom, and fully harness his ability to record and clone himself in order to advance. The Five worlds all introduce small mechanics with the cloning so you have to stop and understand the new rules you will have when recording your moves. Say for instance there are two switches in a level, you would first record yourself jumping onto one while making sure you have enough time to reach the other one, and then watch your clone perform the act while you jump on the other switch. This is just a basic example, as things will get a bit harder than this.

The game is mostly in Black & White, with key features changing colors that help identify objects and tools you will use in the game. The Story details why Winterbottom has an knack for stealing pies, and is pretty funny and interesting.

Overall this is a great Arcade game that will keep you busy for a few hours.

+ Cool Visuals, Story, and Gameplay will last a good 3+ hours
+ Additional Challenges to complete after you finish the story mission
-A few difficult puzzles later on, but nothing too hard

I really enjoyed this game when it came out, and in my review for it, I talked about the great action and exploring that Darksiders bring. There is now a demo which is said to contain over an hour of gameplay, so that should be enough time to really check out how Darksiders plays. Check it out!

"Battle through the complete first dungeon of Darksiders, with over 90 minutes of gameplay. Take on Hell’s demon hordes, explore the catacombs of the forsaken Twilight Cathedral, and face off against the hideous Bat Queen, Tiamat."

Another Wednesday mean more games on the Arcade Marketplace! Check them out!

"FRET NICE™ is a 2D platformer that’ll rock your world. Control your character through funky-fresh stages to explore hidden areas, collect items, and clash note-for-note with outrageous, heavy metal bosses! Rock out by blasting enemies with riff combos and creating your own sounds with each “strum” of a chord!"

"Why share when you can have it all? Greed Corp is an online multiplayer strategy game in which you battle for dominance over a world once rich in resources. In order to prevail, you must exhaust all remaining resources to build an army, and use the depleted collapsing terrain to your advantage. An extensive campaign mode and multiple unlockables prepare you to take the battle online."

"Dr. Diggabone's getting too old for archaeological digs, or so he says. But truth be told, he’s just plain lazy… Unlock the Full Game and send the Doctor or your Xbox LIVE Avatar on a gravity-defying quest through 75 mazes by spinning and flipping the world. Beware those thieves, minions and traps, though. Without any challenge, you'd just grow lazy… and we wouldn’t want that, now would we? "

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is the third announced piece of Downloadable Content for Borderlands. Gearbox says that is their biggest piece of content for a game by far, as it adds 250 more gamerscore points to obtain, and 11 more levels to reach to. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will cost 800 points:

"Borderlands goes to ELEVEN! You may have seen some games raise their level cap by 5, or maybe even 10, but with The Crimson Lance Assassination Squads wreaking havoc and Crawmerax the Invincible being all invulnerable and stuff we knew you'd need more than just 10. And that's why Borderlands goes to ELEVEN! The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is an add-on pack for Borderlands that adds new guns, new Class Mods, new vehicles, new missions, new enemy types, and increases the level cap to 61. In other words…best add-on ever. Of all time. Forever. The End. ELEVEN! "

Man I wish I had a PS3! I got a chance to play the Heavy Rain demo and I was really impressed with what developer Quantic Dream has created. The wait is finally over for those who have had their had eye on this game. These are the same guys and gals behind Indigo Prophecy, aka Fahrenheit, and with the PlayStation 3's power at their disposal, they have made basically the best looking playable characters in a game. Get it at your local retailer today!

Sinclair Solutions Test Pack is the first of apparently many pieces of content coming to BioShock 2 pretty soon. It will cost 5 bucks (400 Points), and will contain some multiplayer additions including:

-Raising the Level Cap to 50 in Multiplayer

-Two More Character Skins to play as and 5 more masks to wear

-20 more trials to complete

-More Attachments for the weapons

Seems pretty interesting although I wonder how they will deal with those that don't plan on getting the pack, since raising the level cap is something that might change the game's balance. Look out for the Pack in early March!

This week there are three different arcade games to check out and they all seem pretty different.

"Fret Nice™ is a 2-D platformer that will rock your world. Control your character through funky-fresh stages to explore hidden areas, collect items, and clash note-for-note with outrageous heavy metal bosses! Rock out by blasting enemies with riff combos and creating your own sounds with each "strum" of a chord! Every playthrough offers an ever-changing sonic adventure."

Will Cost 1200 Points

"Why share when you can have it all? Greed Corp is an online multiplayer strategy game in which you battle for dominance over a world once rich in resources. In order to prevail, exhaust all the remaining resources to build an army, and then use the depleted collapsing terrain to your advantage. An extensive campaign mode and multiple unlockables prepare you to take the battle online. Will you defend your territory or sacrifice it to keep it out of enemy hands? Manage the finite available resources to build your army and use the unique collapsing terrain mechanic to your advantage, all while the mist grows closer ..."

Will Cost 800 Points

"Dr. Diggabone's getting too old for archaeological digs, or so he says. Truth be told, he's just plain lazy … That's where you jump into Lazy Raiders® and take control as you spin and flip mazes to send the Doctor or your Avatar on a gravity-defying quest for lost relics that would bring him instant fortune and glory. Of course you'll have to deal with greedy thieves, pesky minions, and ingenious traps along the way. If there weren't any challenges, you'd just grow lazy … and we wouldn't want that, would we?"

Will Cost 800 Points

Duke Nukem 3d is the deal for this week. It will cost 400 points, half off from the original 800 point price.

"Unlock the full version for 39 levels of mayhem! Wreak havoc on your foes with weapons like Pipe Bombs, Shrink Ray, and Freezer. Impress your friends on the leaderboards, earn achievements, and take advantage of the painless death system – rewind 10 seconds or 10 minutes, the choice is up to you. What are you waiting for?"

This is the second announced DLC for Assassin's Creed II and is now out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I believe this is Sequence 13 in terms of where it would fit in the game. The content is priced at 320 Points, which is about 3-4 dollars on the PSN:

"A must for Assassin’s fans, Assassin’s Creed II Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities continues to expand the award-winning AC2 universe. Work with Machiavelli to free the city of Florence from the grip of the mad monk Savonarola by targeting influential citizens under his control. Battle, sneak and freerun your way through twelve challenging new memories. Discover a new district of Florence, and utilize Ezio’s new move, the sprint jump."

In case you already have the game, the DLC for Resident Evil 5 can be yours right before the Gold Edition of the game arrives in March which will include all the new downloads for a discounted price. Lost in Nightmares is the first piece of new content and can be yours for 400 points and includes new achievements and new characters for Mercenaries:

"This is the first installment of new content for RESIDENT EVIL 5. During the main story of RESIDENT EVIL 5, Chris Redfield alludes to a mission where he lost his partner Jill during a conversation with Sheva. Now you can find out what happened during that mission at Spencer's estate. This package also allows you to unlock two new characters in the all-new The Mercenaries Reunion. Play as one of the unsung heroes of the original RESIDENT EVIL, Barry Burton, or step into the designer-made high heels of one of RESIDENT EVIL's newest villains, Excella Gionne. There are also additional figures available in Extra Figures to round out this action-packed package."

The Misadventures of P.B Winterbottom is here to check out on

This time the list is scattered with a few demos including The AvP demo at number 3 and the Bad Company 2 demo at number 5. I wonder how they will do once their full versions come out. For the Arcade games, Turtles in Time Re-shelled gets a boost to number one with the help of the deal of the week, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 benefiting as well at number 2 on the arcade list. How will things change next time? Come back and find out!

It must have been difficult for development on BioShock 2 by 2K Marin. They would have to walk a delicate line with this game in order to appease everyone who believed that there was no need for a sequel to arguably the best game of 2007. They somehow managed to accomplish this for the most part, and can now take a deep breath. Instead of revisiting old areas of Rapture, we're able to visit new locations, interact with more new characters and one of the most important shifts that this game brings is putting us into the role of a Big Daddy. With this change comes new gameplay elements and a surprisingly fun multiplayer mode that will give this game some great re-playability.

BioShock 2 puts us as Delta, an early version of the Big Daddies we took down in the original game. Although these types can bond with other Little Sisters, Delta was made to have one connection with a Little Sister named Elanor. A few things occur and you f ind yourself awake 10 years later and starting your search to find the girl. It's a great story overall, a does contain a few twists and turns that do a good job keeping you interested. The singleplayer seems much shorter, but with achievements based around playing through again, BioShock 2 is game that can be played through a few times to better understand the story.

The change to being a Big Daddy allows you to protect the Little Sisters in order to gain some precious ADAM. The girls can help you find bodies to explore that contain ADAM, and will extract it for you as long as you protect from splicers in the time needed to gather the ADAM. There are usually two or three Little Sisters in each level, and once you Adopt, Harvest or Save them, you will have to prepare for the Big Sisters who will do their best to kill you for your actions against the Little Sisters. Like you, they wear suits of armor, except they are more agile and can do some serious damage with plasmids at their disposal.

Gameplay hasn't changed that much, but the combat has received a great improved that will help you dispatch of splicers and other enemies in a more interesting way. You can now dual wield, with a plasmid for your left hand, and a weapon in the right in order to set up some deadly combinations. The addition of the drill for the Big Daddy and other weapons only they can wield, you can better defend yourself while exploring the new areas of Rapture. The original plasmids are back, and can now be charged when you buy certain upgrades.

The Multiplayer, developed by Digital Extremes, is actually pretty fun and contains some great action. The game is an experienced based mode with up to 40 levels to reach, and each level will bring new weapons, tonics, plasmids, and attachments to unlock. The Game modes consist of the typical Team deathmatch, Free for all modes, and objective based game types that all feel familiar with some BioShock magic sprinkled into the multiplayer. The use of plasmids really makes it stick out though in the multiplayer field, and a great addition to play after you have played the single-player over and over.

Overall the feel of BioShock 2 is one that can't recreate the exact feel of the first game, but it does a great job of showing us more to the mysterious world of Rapture.

+ Great Sequel that compliments the original
+ Improved Combat and Great Multiplayer
+ Shows new areas of Rapture
- A little on the short side in terms of Campaign hours

How Does it Play?

A great improvement in terms of Combat, and plays mostly like the original

How Long Does it Last?

Singleplayer took me around 7 hours, but Multiplayer and Story replayability can greatly increase your time with this game

Is it a Buy or Rent?

BioShock fans will definitely want to check it out, so I would say Buy
