This is set to last for a bout 24 hours, so Download what you want this week, and possibly prepare for a few connection problems when they're done. Not saying it is going to happen, but just be ready for it.

"This service maintenance is to prepare for some of the recently announced features that will be available later this year."

I guess it arrived later in the day last Wednesday, but Cell Factor is out for Xbox Live Arcade. The demo is pretty fun, and allows you to play around with the three types of characters and battle against some bots. It kind of reminds me of Unreal and shadowrun. Check out the details:

"CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars is a fast-paced first person multiplayer shooter. Choose your side in the battle of technology vs. humanity. Manipulate your environment and kill your enemies with your choice of gunfire and/or telekinetic superpowers. Use your mind to rip objects from the environment and smash them in any direction or use your powers to create a bullet-proof energy shield. Flying, teleporting, and accelerated speed give you countless ways to kill or be killed. Take on the three single player challenge modes (one mode for each character) or battle live enemies throughout the world in one of four multiplayer modes!"

Cellfactor costs 800 Points ($10.00) and will take up 310 MB of Space

A game Ive been looking forward is Prototype, a free-roaming action game where the main character has some incredible powers. It's developed by the same team that made Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, which was pretty fun. Here's the Description text about the game:

"You are a shapeshifter with amazing powers of combat, destruction and deception – the Prototype. Consume and become anyone; hide in plain sight as a normal human and mix and match genetic traits to create incredible never-before-seen deadly biological weapons. Consume people and gain their skills, knowledge and personality. Fight a secret war against a conspiracy out to capture or kill you; defeat it before it threatens the survival of New York itself."

The Demo of Overlord II has just been released on Xbox Live. The First was a fun game to play, and it looks like the second will be even funner:

"Download this action-packed demo of Overlord® II and experience the thrill of sending your Minions off on a hilarious destructive rampage. Use your horde of Minions and new wolf mounts to slay the hunters of Nordberg! There’s more: take on hippy elves and the mythical yeti and, err, lots of baby seals. Of course you can kill them, you’re the Overlord! Want a mini-map too? You got it!"

Overlord II Demo will take up 761 MB of Space
